Talk:John
John as Mary's caretaker?
I've removed the line, "Jesus’ trust of John is perhaps best exemplified by the fact that, while hanging on the cross , he charged John to take care of his mother Mary (John 19:26-27)." I don't think it's clear that this is what Jesus was commanding John to do. Rather, I think Jesus is simply telling John to get his mother away from him as he dies. --Mjberkey 00:48, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
