Deut 28:53: Eating fruit

Curious insight, Robert. I'm not sure where to take that, but I like it. Your manifest obsession with the tree allegories is tempting me more and more to delve into the subject. Any picks? --Joe Spencer 15:29, 18 Aug 2006 (UTC)

It's just an offshoot (...) of my obsession with Isa 6:10—I'm wondering what the connection might be between the vineyard allegories and the drunkards in Isa 28:1. But, now that you mention it, I did an irreverent rap video skit in 10th grade for an English class on the "I think that I shall never see, a poem lovely as a tree" hymn/poem. We started out "covering our feet" on a tree, then learned through the skit that "chicks dig guys who dig trees," so at least the moral was good.... --RobertC 20:57, 18 Aug 2006 (UTC)

Wow, sorry I asked. If you see it connecting up with Isa 28:1, don't we turn to Isa 5:1ff? That chapter has some of Isaiah's most explicit statements on drunkenness, and it also deals with the vineyard allegory. --Joe Spencer 20:45, 19 Aug 2006 (UTC)
