Verses 16:16-21
From the question section:
- Does this mean that no one can/will receive the word without first receiving the Spirit? If so, why?
I didn't see these verses as making a universal claim. The fact that these verses specifically talk about preparing the people for what would be taught when Christ came suggests I think that what he would teach would be hard for them to accept. --Matthew Faulconer 07:04, 29 June 2007 (CEST)
