  • Alma 11:44: Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged• according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.
  • Morm 7:7: And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of ghappiness which hath no end.
  • D&C 20:28: Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.
  • D&C 93:3-4: And that I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one—The Father because he gave me of his fulness, and the Son because I was in the world and made flesh my tabernacle, and dwelt among the sons of men.

3 Nephi[edit]

  • 3 Ne 11:27: And after this manner shall ye baptize in my name; for behold, verily I say unto you, that the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one.
  • 3 Ne 11:36: And thus will the Father bear record of me, and the Holy Ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and me; for the Father, and I, and the Holy Ghost are one.
  • 3 Ne 20:35: The Father hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of the Father; and the Father and I are one.
  • 3 Ne 28:10: And for this cause ye shall have fulness of joy; and ye shall sit down in the kingdom of my Father; yea, your joy shall be full, even as the Father hath given me fulness of joy; and ye shall be even as I am, and I am even as the Father; and the Father and I are one;

Monotheism[edit]

  • Matt 23:8: But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
  • Matt 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Bible dictionary entry on idols[edit]

There are some ten different Hebrew words so translated in the KJV, representing the various kinds of objects of worship among heathen nations. Idolatry generally meant nature worship in one form or another; e.g., in Egypt the chief objects of worship were the sun and other heavenly bodies, the Nile, and sacred animals, especially the bull. Ra, the sun god, was the active power in creation and giver of life. Among the nations of Canaan and W. Syria Baal was the sun god or source of life, and Ashtoreth was the corresponding female deity. In addition each nation had its own peculiar god to whom it ascribed its prosperity and misfortunes (e.g., see Chemosh; Molech). The idolatry into which the Israelites so often fell consisted either in making images that stood for Jehovah, e.g., the calves of Jeroboam (1 Kgs 12:28); or in worshipping, in addition to Jehovah, one of the gods of the heathen nations around them (1 Kgs 11:7, 1 Kgs 11:33; 2 Kgs 21:3-6; 2 Kgs 23:10; Jer 7:31; Ezek 20:26-49), such idolatry being some form of nature worship, which encouraged as a rule immoral practices.

During the Captivity the temptation of idolatrous worship was overcome. After the Return, the besetting sin of the Jews seems to have been covetousness, “which is idolatry” (Col 3:5; cf. Eph 5:5; Philip 3:19).

Being one with God[edit]

3 Nephi[edit]

  • 3 Ne 19:23: And now Father, I pray unto thee for them, and also for all those who shall believe on their words, that they may believe in me, that I may be in them as thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one.
  • 3 Ne 19:29: Father, I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me out of the world, because of their faith, that they may be purified in me, that I may be in them as thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one, that I may be glorified in them.

John 17[edit]

  • John 17:11: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the aworld, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be bone, as we are.
  • John 17:21: That they all may be one•; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
  • John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast bloved them, as thou hast loved me.

Being one with each other[edit]

  • 3 Ne 11:29-30: For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another. Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things should be done away.
  • 3 Ne 20:9: Now, when the multitude had all eaten and drunk, behold, they were filled with the Spirit; and they did cry out with one voice, and gave glory to Jesus, whom they both saw and heard.
  • 3 Ne 26:19: And they taught, and did minister one to another; and they had all things common among them, every man dealing justly, one with another.
  • 4 Ne 1:3: And they had all things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly bgift.
  • 4 Ne 1:17: There were no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites; but they were in one, the children of Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God.
  • 2 Cor 13:11: Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
  • Gal 3:28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

1 Cor 12[edit]

  • 1 Cor 12:13-14: For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.
  • 1 Cor 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Gathered in one[edit]

  • John 11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
  • 3 Ne 15:21: And verily I say unto you, that ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

One doctrine[edit]

  • 3 Ne 23:14: And now it came to pass that when Jesus had expounded all the scriptures in one, which they had written, he commanded them that they should bteach the things which he had expounded unto them.
  • Eph 4:4-7: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

One sacrifice[edit]

  • John 11:50: Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
  • 2 Cor 5:14: For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
  • Heb 10:14: For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Romans 5[edit]

  • Rom 5:15: But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath bounded unto many.
  • Rom 5:16: And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
  • Rom 5:17: For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of agrace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
  • Rom 5:19: For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
