Talk:Matt 24:42-25:46
I'm not following the exegesis. I don't see how it reaches the conclusion that the Lord "seemed to understand that — for whatever reason — this servant was not capable of doing what the other servants could do." Is it pointing to a difference between v27 and v16? In v27 the Lord says to the unprofitable servant that you should have "put my money to the exchangers." V16 says "he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same," Maybe the problem is that I don't understand enough about trading and exchangers to catch the difference? Any suggestions? --Matthew Faulconer 05:30, 9 July 2009 (CEST)
