Arise to worship (v. 7)[edit]
One idea is that worshiping is analgous to testifying, and testimony can be described as "standing" in court (cf. the law of witnesses in Deut 19:15 where "rise up against" and "established" are based on the same Hebrew word qwm). Another idea is that the rising up is analogous to the king of Nineveh rising up from his throne in order to sit and repent in sackcloth and ashes (Jonah 3:6). --RobertC 23:29, 12 Sep 2006 (UTC)
