Gen 13:1-5: Links

Just curious. are the related links links supposed to show me the "read-inside this book" feature on Amazon? So I would see the actual text? Not sure why but they aren't doing that for me. --Matthew Faulconer 08:56, 17 Feb 2006 (UTC)

Nope, there's no "read-inside" for this book. I originally thought Amazon links make the most sense (the section is titled "related links" after all) b/c they seem the most comprehensive and likely to remain for a long time, but on this particular book they show it as being out of print (I read somewhere someone claiming the book isn't actually out of print, but I didn't follow up on that). I'm very open to suggestions on better links, or if no link is preferred to a lame, out of print link (though at least the link gives the ISBN). --RobertC 13:39, 17 Feb 2006 (UTC)

Regarding this statement.

Lot did not like the moral prohibition against stealing that Abraham believed in,

I get the journeyed east thing--I think. But where does this idea come from? Any idea? --Matthew Faulconer 08:51, 17 Feb 2006 (UTC)

I think it's just oral tradition. I'll keep looking and let you konw if I find anything more. --RobertC 14:20, 17 Feb 2006 (UTC)
